Regular exercise and participating in sport has long been proven to contribute to happier communities as well as healthier and longer lives, yet the majority of the population are not regularly active.
Our Sports Search product helps children to identify the sports they are best suited to and then links them up with their local club.
- Produces an individual sporting profile for participants that takes into account both physical and attitudinal inputs.
- Enables participants to identify a range of potential sports suitable for their profiles.
- Establishes contacts to a local club which will enable participation and pursuit of their chosen sports in a safe environment.
It also includes the UK’s first database of National Governing Body affiliated clubs and unique set of sporting algorithms.
Sports Search is designed primarily to help get more people physically active and having fun by providing indicative information about the sports that the individual is suited to and then linking them with an appropriate club. The system draws on information from over 100 sports and it is possible for each participant to refine their preferences even further (e.g. team sports, non-water etc), before making a final selection of the sports they wish to find out more about, find a club and then try it out.
Sports Search is available for use in secondary school for 12 to 17 year olds now but will also be available for other age groups in due course.
